Relationship of Diabetes Mellitus Among The Patients Reporting With Fascial Space Infection

Objective: To determine the frequency of diabetic patients having Odontogenic Maxillofacial space infections in local population. Methodology: This cross sectional study was carried out from 1-3-2020 to August 2020 Department Oral and Surgery, Pakistan Institute Medical Sciences, Islamabad, assess association diabetics with facial infection. A total 70 both genders maxillofacial infection were included study. Patients stratified into three age groups; Age group 1 18-30, 2 31-45 years 3 46-60 years. form includes demographic data (age, gender, contact information, address), medical history (diabetic or non-diabetic) along sign symptoms noted Performa. The SPSS version 20.0 used analyze data. Mean standard deviation calculated for age. Frequency percentages gender diabetes mellitus. Results: Of these cases, 42 (60%) females 28 (40%) males mean 40.97±10.32 Out patients, 55 (78.57%) 15 (21.43%) non-diabetic patients. Conclusion: Diabetic are more prone due poor control multispace severe complications may occur.
